Linda, 78, lives on Social Security alone. When staying home was no longer safe, moving into assisted living meant upfront costs her family couldn't cover. A SHORE micro-grant bridged the gap, stabilizing her placement and lifting the financial pressure at an already difficult moment.

William lost his childhood home and has been living in a hotel at $550 a week. With sundowners syndrome, a hotel isn't just uncomfortable. It's unsafe. SHORE funded his move into a safe, welcoming community where his family knows he's okay.

Debra covers 75% of her costs through government assistance, but when payments were delayed, nearly $4,200 in expenses piled up fast. She wasn't in crisis because of anything she did wrong. She was caught in the gap. SHORE's micro-grant kept her stable while her assistance caught back up.

Yes. SHORE is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. You’ll receive a receipt immediately after giving.
Your gift funds direct support for seniors facing housing transitions. This includes the Senior Living Community Micro-grant of $1,500 that cover move-in fees, security deposits, short-term rent gaps, or expenses that help a senior stay in their current home.
For veterans, your donation also helps connect eligible seniors with professional guidance to access their VA Aid and Attendance benefits at no cost to them.
